I recently finished an awesome trilogy based in a dystopian world, and although it was a fulfilling read… I needed to turn to something light and somewhat fluffy… or in this case furry!
“A Street Cat Named Bob” – by James Bowen is a story of how a stray ginger cat, and an ex drug addict find hope on the streets London, England.
I started the book with no intention of speed reading it, but 1 hour/70 pages later, I found myself putting it down for the sake of making it last a little longer!
Bob starts off as a stray who is injured and beat up, and who just won’t leave James alone. James is a lonely street performer, whose life had just started to mend after having taken a drastic downward spiral. Bob and James, seem to come into each others life at exactly the right moment, second chances for the both of them.
For those of you out there who have ever had a friend in an animal, cat, dog, bunny, Japanese fighting fish… this book is already warming my heart!
